Every child can learn, if we just let them.
Each and every learner, when they begin their journey, is full of enthusiasm and wonder, imagination their driving force, ready to perform the impossible if given the recognition that:
“I just want to learn, please don’t stop me. Just know who I am, what I already know, where I am from and where I want to go! I just need you to answer my WHYS ! Can you help? If you answer my “Whys” I’ll some day be wise, even cleverer than I am already.”

Have you ever considered how clever two to three year old children seem to be, always asking questions. forever chattering and talking, running about all the time, wanting to play the same game over and over, almost driving their parents mad? Have you then ever wondered what seems to have gone wrong with all of that imagination and play making and enthusiasm as school begins to wind back individuality and push conformity, good behaviour and listening instead of talking? Could it be we have chosen the wrong model of schooling in our quest to ensure all children learn what we have decided is best for them to learn?

The Wildings School considered those questions and has found our research on how children learn naturally does not match up with the model schools are presenting. https://www.wildlingsforestschool.com/blog/why-your-childs-brain-isnt-ready-and-why-thats-perfect?mc_cid=fac6ce6938&mc_eid=58bc87cdac
